HOMESTAY 1
Today I went to a homestay for two days near a beach and a
forest for 2 days this summer.
Day1
At home, we woke up at approximately 5:00 AM so we could get
packing. 2 hours later, at 7:00, we hit the road and went on our adventures.
Along the road, we stopped to meet a herd of sheep. The sheep were very cute
and friendly, and we petted them and took pictures. After that, we hit the road
(again) and got to where we were supposed to be 2 hours later, at 9:00AM. We
played around and explored the place. There I saw a cool alligator fish. The
room was stout and short, with a mural of the sky painted on the roof. The
walls were yellow and purple. We started unpacking and tidying everything up to
make it look clean. We sat there, waiting for our friends to come so we could
bring them along as we embarked on our adventures. Eventually, at 1:00PM they
came to the homestay. A bit later, we went to the “Hamptons Plaza” There were
many, many shops surrounding us, such as ice cream shops and chocolate shops
(all of which were closed). We even saw a diseased, dying fish in a tank at the
seafood restaurant. But the best part was the beach There we saw jetskis,
sailboats and canoes. We built sandcastles and played. We then went to the
surveillance bridge and took lots of pictures. I also took some pictures. As
per usual, my dad said they were rubbish. The we went home and went to sleep
till the afternoon so we could go to the beach. When we woke up, we had a
debate on whether we would go to the beach for a quick swim or go to an arboretum
and trek in the forest (which we saw when we got the homestay.) We eventually
settled on going to the beach. We were on the way there when it started to rain
A LOT, so we drove home in a hurry to get our raincoat(s). Then …we were off
again. It was still raining when we got there, but it was just a little drizzle
at that point. Our friends also went in the water…but resurfaced shortly after.
Me and my dad (my mom didn’t go in the water) stayed there in the water for
quite some time and only got out an hour later. We then bathed in fresh water,
packed up, changed clothes and went home. Almost nothing notable occurred after
that but at dinner we ate a feast and my mom, dad and the father of our friend
all stepped up and sang karaoke. At about 10 o’clock, it was time to go to
sleep and enter the land of nod.
Day 2
This was the day we went home (well, we went home later, in
the afternoon) We had a change of minds as this morning we were going trekking
in the aforementioned forest arboretum tree collection. We bought some cakes
and bottled water so we could refresh ourselves and prepare for the journey a
head. We then embarked through the forest, discovering new trees, and taking
pictures in the “Scam Forest”. We then went all the way to the end, where 2
fake giraffes were not waiting for us because they had no brain or eyes, just
concrete. Simply put, they were fake.
We rested a bit and finished our trail and survived
(contrary to my beliefs). Then we hit the beach. We traveled along a road along
the shore of the beach we explored the road, then decided on a beach in a
camping area There I stood on huge rocks, took pictures (which, as usual, were
rubbish, and I battled the waves, grabbing onto our friend’s mom’s hands, and
we had a blast. I even collected shells (obviously, bathed in fresh water and
played on the sand a bit more.
But all good things have to come to an end. Eventually we
had to go home. We went to the homestay and stayed there for a couple more
minutes until it was time to go home.
We wave and byed the surroundings and set off.
